680 Charging

Just bought my NUVI 680 and have a question. When I connect it to the AC charger, the unit comes on automatically just as if I pushed the power button.
Is this normal?
When I push the power button when AC charging, the quick settings volume & brightness appear.
I did a search and couldn't find any info on this.

Yes, that is the normal behavior. You can push the power button while it is connected to the AC adapter if you want to turn the screen off.

Normal, if you switch to off it will show that it is charging.

I dont have an ac charger but I know when I plug the lighter adapter in it comes on automatically same with the usb cable but with that it goes to disk mode

Hold the button down until it turns off.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
