Is there any advantage to updating Google Earth from the free version? I want to use Google Earth to find locations for making POI files. From what I can tell the paid version is only useful for finding POI and loading them to find locations on your GPS. I want to find them and create a POI file to use on my GPS.

I would like to see some comments of prople who already are using Google Earth Pro if it is worth the upgrade. I know it is only $20 but is it really better? Pro's and Con's. Thanks

Do it!
I say if the feature is there that you want then do it. I am still learning google earth but eventually once I feel more comfortable with it I might upgrade to the Plus version.

Google Earth Plus -- Limited Import of csv POI
Using Google Earth Plus, one can import up to 100 POI in a csv file, and save that as a kml file; e.g., one can import several area groups (e.g., state groups) each with less than 100 POI.

For the $20, I was first
For the $20, I was first disappointed but after using it a while I started appreciating the way that I could set my Garmin's grid to Lat/Lon hddd*mm'ss.s to be the same as Google Earth, then I could locate my waypoint in Google Earth and then plug in the GPS readings into my Garmin mapsource and then have a 100% matchup. As a bonus I would also have the elevation

Not Worth It
I was also debating paying for Google Earth Plus for a while too, but I have found that some of the free sites are just as helpful if you are just trying to convert an address to a Lat/Long.
