Shanandoah National Park. Parallels I-81 in Virginia. It starts (Skyline Drive) where the Blue Ridge Parkway ends on the north end. I have not been on it, but it looks like a great place for a Motorcycle ride. There seems to be a overlook (turnout) every couple miles, so it would be good if someone that HAD been there could add an asterisk to the end of the POI names of the worthwhile overlooks. It would take a long time to stop at each one. It is over a hundred miles, and I found 62 Overlooks. Luray Caverns are in the area too and should be worth a visit. Skyline Drive starts in Waynesboro, near Charlottsville, VA and ends at Front Royal, VA. The Blue Ridge Parkway starts in Cherokee, NC and ends in Wayneboro, VA 465 miles later, another good motorcyle trip. The BRP goes through 4 National Forests -- the Nantahala, Pisgah, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington.
