Are area files just a subset of a bigger file

Hi
I was looking to download Panera Bread locations since they seem like a good place to stop in unknown territory. On the POI list, there is a big file for US Panera Breads and then several smaller files by states. Is it generally the case that the person who made the big file just amalgamated the state files, or might the state files have more information. Having a fair bit of room, and using POI loader in manual mode, I would load the entire file unless there is some extra in a state file for a state I care about. Other than compare in excel, is there some way on the site to figure out the relationship of the files that I am missing. TIA. Neal

Other than the author, Excel or a text editor is the only way to determine the content of the file.

Sometimes we get the entire

Sometimes we get the entire US file and then people add cities for the metro areas, or state files. You really have to open them up in excel to find out what it is.
