Does anyone know how to set your announcements to only sound off once. I mean it gets crazy listening to them over and over

On my Nuvi 350... Settings |

Settings | Proximity Points | Alerts | Audio
Choices...
- Single Tone
- Continuous - Speed Alerts
- Continuous - All alerts
But I don't believe that it works for custom Poi files, wish it did, but haven't found a way. I still get contineous alerts as well on my custom POI alerts.
