Garmin's POI loader not recognizing GPS

This has worked before but after 6 months I cannot get POI loader to recognize my Nuvi 660 (no longer a selectable GPS option is present). I have reinstalled Mapsource and POI loader and tried several Garmin GPS's. Anyone have this problem?

USB DRIVERS?

Has anything happened to the computer that may have lost your USB drivers?

Same problem w/ a 2730

I had not used my 2730 in several months and when I pulled it out to update, Webupdater would not "see" it. It would see my Zumo but not the 2730, somehow my pc had "lost" the USB drivers. Once the drivers were reloaded, it worked fine.

Garmin's POI Loader Not Recognizing GPS

Reloading the USB drivers has fixed this problem for me several times with both my 660 and my 7200.

will try new driver again

hopefully this will work. The only issuge I can think of is that I bought a 650 for my wife and when I plugged that in I noticed POI loader was no longer working. I tried my 660 and it still doesnt work.
