Has anybody else noticed the amount of pressure it takes to activate selections on the touch screen of the 660?
I have had two 660's and both require a bit more than a light tab to make selections.
Now the demo unit at BB requires just a light touch.
Can anybody shead some light on this as I find it annoying to have to sometimes touch a selection more than once to activate the function I am selecting.
Oh and yes i did do a calibration on both units with no changes in the pressure required.
Thanks
My 650 seems fine
I like the amount of pressure I need on my 650 it should be about the same...I am sure the screen on my C330 was easier, but to the point that a slight brush when entering numbers would mess me up...Have you called Tech Support they may have a suggestion. I guess if I had the choice I would rather need a firmer touch than too soft...

My 760
I always use my fingernail. That seems to work all the time for me with no pressure at all just a lite touch does it.
Dave,Yep called tech
Dave,
Yep called tech support and it seems that they think it should take a light touch. They had me do a recal also and like i said before this made no difference.
The only thing I can think of is my units have firmware version 3.90 and maybe the demo units at bb had a earlier firmware version. Also I tried using a screen protector on my 660's and that seemed to make the need for just a bit more pressure to make selections.
So i removed the screen protectors.
Also i was wondering if when installing the screen protector and using the thin cardboard sceege to remove air bubles would the bit of pressure that needs to be applied to the sceege could possibly cause any kind of damage or problems to the touch screen?
Again Thanks

Be gentle applying screen protectors. Sometimes they can do more harm than good.
Is it just me, or if you don't plan on selling your GPS down the road, why would you use a screen protector? The GPS looks worse with one on!
What kind of harm are you
What kind of harm are you speaking of?
I had a 660 that I bought
I had a 660 that I bought 12-06 and the pressure it took was great, just a little went a long way. My nuvi broke and I got a refurb back and it takes quite a bit of pressure. I am getting more used to it but it bugs me just as well. I am on version 4.10 software.
It's the firmware

I just changed from firmware ver 2.3 to 4.2 and was amazed at the increased pressure required. I don't like it either.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
