Did you set an alert when you loaded the POI file?

Regular POIs do not inherently have alerts. You must intentionally set one. This can be done in a variety of ways.

Since you are really looking for a proximity alert, you need to run POI Loader in Manual Mode and then set the distance at which you want to be alerted.

Also, be sure that alerts are enabled on your unit.

Well, that kind of depends upon how far in advance you want to be alerted. The maximum is reported to be 37 miles. However, I would think that somewhere between 1 and 2 miles would be appropriate.

Another way you can trigger alerts is to name the POI file with one of the following words that have a special meaning: RedLight, GATSO, mobile, SPECS, safety, or camera, so you could call your file BestBuy_mobile.csv, and this is supposed to alert you.

I've tried it using "safety" and seems to work fine.
