one more mounting solution

I'd like to share my way of mounting solution.

As you can see on a pictures i have modified Garmin's mounting for Nuvi 750 and i believe it could be done for any GPS, Thinkpad etc.

Neat Instillation

Thanks for sharing your idea. A very neat and professional looking instilation. I use a vent mount. I find one advantage of my vm is it's closer to eye level and facilitates keeping my eye on the road.

Nice idea

I'm impressed with your ingenuity. Did you fabricate the "clip" or "clamp" that grips the base of the ball arm? If not, where did you buy it?

Re: Nuvi Monuting Solutions

Does this require any cutting or soldering!

one more way for mounting

I used clamp from bicycle compass ~ $10 in Walmart

As you can see i gust cut

As you can see i gust cut part of the Garmin's sucking mount in order to have space for plug in and adjusting the angle of GPS position

Nuvi Monuting Solutions

Just cut cable long enough for changing GPS position comfortable for your eyes

Looks Great

Pbereg!

Nice design! You are fortunate that your GPS has TTS. I don't think that I could put my GPS down that low. I have to look at it to see the street names during navigation. I think you could market your invention, however.

My Nüvi 260...

...has TTS, but I still want it where I can see it readily. For me the friction mount still suits my needs best.

Does vibration Affect it?

I agree, it's pretty neat! How does it hold up to the vibration of driving around? I notice my lighter adapters alone (with both my Nuvi and my XM Satellite radio) sometimes have to be pushed back into the outlet without the extra weight of the GPSr affecting it.
