Work should not be under the Favorites

You could always set your work location as the "Home" location and use the Home button for this daily trip.

I guess the idea might be that you probably know how to get to work so you wouldn't really need it very often.

And with home, I think the idea is that if you are somewhere you don't really know well and want to leave, you are most likely to want to go home.

Although now that I give it more thought I suppose having a Go Work command would be useful for certain people like delivery truck drivers, sales people who visit clients, etc. where you would actually want to get from some unknown area and get back to the office.

OK so never mind. I guess it can go either way. Heck, you might as well expand it and add a category for "Temp Home" or "Hotel" so you can program in your hotel without having to overwrite your home.

But if we added every feature everyone wanted, there wouldn't be any room left for actual favorites!

HORN, at least you got the joke, but thanks for all the inputs guys, the idea was that work or inlaws for that matter is not one of my favorite places...

I'm a little confused. Is someone implying that "Work" is a special Favorite POI name, just as "Home" is? On my unit "Work" acts like any other Favorite.

I use it to see how late I am going to be, not for directions.

I know how to get to work but, if I don't have a route of travel input into my Nuvi, I won't get traffic alerts along my route or be able to "detour"

Yes, that would be nice. One way to simulate that is to load all favorites into MapSource and categorize them. You can then delete the favorites from your nüvi that you do use often and reload them from MapSource as needed. Not convenient, but a work around.
