Customer POI in SD card

Hi,

I loaded a POI to my SD card and now everytime i put on my nuvi 760, it always prompts me if I want to move to an area so if I take my card, it will still function. very annoying since it comes up everytime I put it on. Is there a way to stop this. I don't want to put any of the POI's I downloaded to the internal memory.

.

If you answer "Yes", is there a further option that says "Skip this file" ... and "Don't ask me again?"

POI's

There are at least three ways to stop it:
1) Transfer the file to the Nuvi's internal storage
2) Put a "Dummy" file on the Nuvi so that it no longer has room for the new POI's
3) Create a larger POI file so that it can no longer fit on the Nuvi.

I'm sure there are other workarounds. but that's all I can think of now.

Get Rid Of The Prompt...

You can get rid of the prompt to load the POIs to the unit, at least with the c530 but should work with most other Garmins that have this prompt come up. Actually mine never promted me until I upgraded to 2008 maps and then I got the prompt. Anyway, If you answer with YES it takes you to another screen which says INSTALL THIS DATA? Click on "DON"T ASK ME AGAIN" and then click on "SKIP" That should do it. Let us know how it goes.
