Garmin Nuvi 360 Bluetooth

I'm a new Garmin Navi 360 user. Last week I loaded in the software update from Garmin. However the Bluetooth version no longers works. It will still recognize my Blackberry Curve but drops it in about 15 seconds. Garmin sent me a file that was suppose to take me back to an earlier BT version. But after installing the BT remains the same (3.0).

Has anyone had the same experience? Has anyone found a solution?

I was having trouble with my

I was having trouble with my nuvi 360 and the bluetooth was disconnecting me. I have a v3 razor motorola. all i did was delete the phone from the gps and then the gps from the phone. then i just reconnected it and it seems to be working alright for me.

Assuming you've copied the new (ie old!) Bluetooth firmware (006B047800.bin?) to the Nüvi's \Garmin directory :

  1. Power-up and hold bottom left of screen to enter 'Maintenance Mode'.
  2. Choose "View Diagnostics" option
  3. Press "Next" (5 times?) 'till you reach the "Bluetooth Status" page.
  4. Press "Updt" (bottom-right)

I can't remember what screens come next - and I'm not going to try it, because I'll lose all my phone numbers again exclaim

Fingers crossed - this should then update the firmware from the file you copied in.

(I'm running V2.4 BT firmware! - the latest version kept dropping the connection to my Samsung - welcome to the Garmin End-user Test Team rolleyes )

Bluetooth

Paired nuvi 370 with a Motorola KRAZR from Verizon without any problem. All phone contacts transfered without any trouble via bluetooth.
Last month, I updated the bluetooth software via Webupdate, and it shows the version # as 0.0. It continues to work fine though.

After I updated my BT firmware I had to repair my phone. I did not see any changes with the update.

I have noticed that through my nuvi the sound is clear even if my phone is 20 feet away from my unit. but when i use my bluetooth headset, if my phone is more then 2 feet away all i get is static. I havent had problems with my nuvi picking up my phone, and the people i talk to dont complain about the static. but they do complain when i use my headset.

Dropping

Thank you for the info. I have since talked with Garmin and they sent me two new files one for 2.8 and one for 2.4. Loaded in the 2.4 and all is well.

The first file they sent me was indeed just another 3.0 file?????

Again thanks for your help
