When I sign on, in order to read all of the messages since the last time I was on, I need to look at each of the last dates in each of the forums. Is there any way to get a listing that covers all of the forums?
I've added a new menu option called "unread posts" that might be helpful. It brings everything together into one list.
If you're logged into the site, it lets you see all of the discussion topics with comments that you haven't yet read.
Try it out and let me know what you think.
This looks great.
As I use it, those messages that I look at disappear from the list. One thing that might be useful would be the capability to select the older messages and remove them in one operation. From my useage, I can get away without it as the remaining messages are dated with old dates and can be easily ignored.
As usual, you are doing a great job and really on top of things.
I am absolutely jumping for joy over this new feature!!!! I love it!!!
Thanks JM ;)and thanks to you mkahn for the nice poke to his hinny that made it happen.
OMG I love the New Posts button!!!! Glad you guys posted about it. I've been out for a few days and there were a zillion posts and that new button makes it almost care free....
It may be right in front of me, but I don't see a "unread post" button. Where is it?
on my page it shows up as live discussions.
Ok, I see "Live discussions" now. Looks like that's it.
It is also availabe as unread posts at the bottom of the discussion page and also on any page when you are reading or answering a posting
I haven't confirmed this, but I'm suspecting that new posts (that don't have any replies) may not be showing up on the "unread" list.
Is anyone seeing this happen?
yep ur rt
I sure missed a lot of posts over the past two weeks. Went back into the discussion groups and looked at all discussions listed with zero replies.
