I would appreciate any help! I purchased my C330 in October, and when I try to add POI files to it with POI Loader it always says there is not enough room for the file. I have tried Airfeilds, Ham Radio Repeater directory and Hospitals. I then purchased a 1GB SD card. The .CVS files are on it but the C330 does not recognize them or possibly is not even recognizing the card. When I run POI Loader with the C330 connected to my PC and the SD Card inserted, POI Loader makes no mention of a choice between putting the files directly on the unit or the Card. Please help me bring this all together.
Thank you

.
The SP 330 will not read Custom POIs from the SD card. They must be loaded to the unit itself. It has been reported here that the unit has space for about 18,000 or so POI locations. This will probably amount to around 2MB.
From what I have read the
From what I have read the unit will not read POIs from the sd card so you have to load them directly to the unit. The sd card slot is for garmin maps.
Does the software see the unit?
Is your model listed in the "find devices" screen?
I have nine csv files at about 670kb on my c330.
I don't know what the upper limit is but I think I read of someone who had many thousands of POI's on their 330
loading POI c330 c340
memory SD card ?? can not be read in GPS slot
it is for loading maps on SD card only-
create a POI Directory in MY Documents area
Load all the POIs U want to install to the GPS in
My Documents POI folder before using the POI LOADER -
Activate POI loader when it shows your GPS
hit next it will ask for area POIs stored
go to MY Documents Go to POI folder
then return to POI loader with GPS connected to PC
hit install
U can add or remove POIs from your POI directory in My documents POI Directory file and POIs U remove will be taken off and new additions will be added
BE SURE - all the POIs U want are all in the POI file or it will remove non listed POIs does not effect pre loaded POIs
on the GPS
Good luck

good luck
hey man good luck with your c330. it will only hold about 2mb of custom poi's. It will not read custom poi's from an sd card. I had that problem with the c330 that i bought and i returned it mainly because it will not hold the new full 2008 map also if you load the 2008 map even a portion of it, you wont be able to use custom poi's. I have had that experience and i returned my c330 for a better model.

Uh OH. That's probably his problem. That's awful. I thought I could load just the lower 48 and be ok. I just found these custom POIs and they are great. But I can't stand the thought of not having the latest data available. It took mew forever to talk the wife into getting this C330 and then only because of the cheap price. Ok maybe if we return the c330 for the black friday price of 130 or so plus the 79 dollar price of the new maps maybe I am getting close to the price of a Nuvi 200.
check out amazon
i bought an nuvi 360 for 332.00 with free shipping from amazon. try looking on amazon for the nuvi 200 you can get it for under 200 dollars and you should be able to get a free map update from garmin. so check out amazon.com for some great deals
