Site suggestions

I couldn't fine these suggested on the forums anywhere. Two thoughts that may already be on the site "to do" list:

1) A "subscribe to" for POI files, so that we could get an e-mail when a POI file is updated.

2) On threads with multiple pages, it would be handy to have the page numbers and links at the top of the page as well as the bottom.

Already here

This feature is already implemented on this fine website.

For me, when I hit on "Unread Posts", the list that I obtain only shows the page numbers at the bottom. I agree that it would be nice to also have it at the top of the page.

That would be cool. It would also be nice to be able to have a discussion attached to the particular POIs.

Not everywhere

Unfortunatly not in the list of recent posts as mentioned, and more importantly, not under the list of POIs. I'm not complaining, just offering ideas for improvment.

A thread is a posting with multiple responses, not a list of threads as someone mentioned above. If the thread has multiple pages, there are links on every page under the initial posting that started that thread and at the bottom of every page. Give it another look.

RSS anyone?

I think having an RSS feed would solve this "problem" for us. Most news sites have been doing this for a long LONG time.

Also - I would love to see a setting to change the order of the posts so that it is reversed from newest to oldest based on the what we want at the time.

Right now our top priority

Right now our top priority is stabilizing the server issue, after that we will be looking at other site improvements.

Thanks for sharing your concerns and ideas, they are always welcome.

Miss POI

Can see link to last page right after the 1st msg

If a thread has multiple pages of messages, you can see a link to the last page right between the 1st & 2nd message, near the top of the 1st page.

I'm sure it's been brought up before,

I'm sure it's been brought up before, but would you (Jim & Miss POI) consider adding a Live Chat to this site? It's fun to intereact with members who are currently online.

Our local Boston tv station www.myfoxboston.com has a live chat powered by http://www.shoutmix.com/main/

You can see how it works on their site:

Un-read list

I wonder if it is possible to have on "unread posts" the topics you are tracking listed on top?

I believe that is AKA Jon or possibly Jon is AKA Jim. Actually I think he or she meant Jon.

I think that the confusion is caused by the man himself. His name is Jon M and he sometimes will put JM at the end of his posts. So it would be easy to put an I in between the J and the M and call it good wink

Miss POI

I thought it was Asianfire's fault ....

I thought we were blaming Asianfire for the Jon/Jim confusion ... wasn't he the one that started that whole thing awhile ago!

wink

God god, I haven't even been

God god, I haven't even been on this site for about 2 weeks...lol. and I still get blamed for stuff...but yes, I have called Jon Jim, but I have a memory of a 90 year old.
