Garmin Update Problem ..HELP

Hi everyone.
I just loaded the 2.40 update to my Garmin Nuvi760, My unit started loading the updates into my GPS and then rebooted like usual. But after the reboot, the 760 unit has now locked up. It only starts up into the "GARVIN" logo with the black background for about 5 seconds and then shuts down. Can not even get it to go past this point. If I hookup AC, unit just powers up with the "GARMIN" logo and black background and just stays on this window. Its like the processor or system is dead or frozen. If I connect it my PC, the 760 is not being seen by the POI Updater or Web Updater program.

Anyone have ideas or how to reboot the Nuvi 760 unit besides what the owners manual suggests? I have tried the owners manual way to reboot and it doesn't work.

Thanks guys....

Must be a Hack Virus

why else would it say Garvin instead of Garmin?

Probably you will get a replacement.

If tech support cannot get it running for you, I am sure they will send you a new one.

Fact/

try this

touch the bottom left corner of the screen while you power it on to see if you can boot it into the hidden menus there. Try a total restore if you get that far.

Hi; Tried touching the left

Hi;
Tried touching the left corner of screen and the unit will not stay long enough to reboot. When plugged into AC, the unit will power up but stays on the "Garmin" logo and black background display and seems locked up.
Would love to et back to restore but this even seems impossible. Thanks forthe suggestion.
Anyone else with some other backdoor restore or reboot method?
