POI Availability on nuvi 750

I downloaded 1700 POIs to the 750 but only about 50+ can be displayed/selected on the 750. The manual says go to tools settings proximity points but that option does not exist. How can I access all of the POIs?

1. Reset your device 2. Run

3. Repeat downloading

50 closest

You can only see the 50 closest POIs. If you want to locate things in a different area then you need to use the "Near..." feature or put the GPS into simulation mode and set your location somewhere else. You probably want to consider using categories if you haven't already. For example:

Food
Gas
Hotels

That way you can see the 50 closest of the specific type you are looking for. You can find more information on this by searching the forum.

Not sure about the 7XX

Not sure about the 7XX series, but my 660 can only display 52 POIs of 4 per page at 13 total pages. That's why I break up my custom POI categories into "Food", "Gas", etc just like how Garmin does it. If it's in one monster POI file and I want to find restaurants, a lot of those 52 listings won't be "Food"...

Also, the Proximity Points button will only be displayed if you have Custom POIs loaded that have alert information (ie speed and/or proximity).
