GARMIN 660 - WAAS/EGNOS

HI
I brought GARMIN 660 recently it has a default option
WAAS/EGNOS = off. can some one let me know what is this option ? do we need to turn it on in order to function 660 to work effectely

No, it should work just fine on the regular setting. Waas is just a more accurate GPS system setting. If you google Waas, it should explain it to you in a little more depth.

Suppose to help with accuracy, but no one sees any difference. There is a lot of discussion on here about it, but in short, leave it off cause it doesn't help and it eats battery life big time.
