Problems with my 760

Has anyone else had any problems with the nuvi 760?

We just got one from Best Buy & recently noticed that we only had a couple categories for POIs - aren't their supposed to be around 14? Like one for restaurants, hotels, etc? Mine only had about 4 and no hotels or restaurants. I went to Best Buy to exchange it & found out that all the ones they had in stock didn't even have any of these icons!! All they had under the POIs were type it in! The sales guy in that department said that someone else returned their's and went through about 3 others before finding 1 that worked! He also said that he's seen this problem with some 200s & that it is some sort of computer glitch.

I seemed to have a few other issues with mine as well, so I just wondered if anyone else have seen these problems.

I really like it, but obviously would like one that is fully functional for the price! I have reordered 1 & had to have it shipped to my house, so hopefully I will get a replacement that is in 100% working order.

Changes made from version 2.20 to 2.30:

* Correct issue that may prevent some Points of Interest categories from displaying on the menu.

So, before returning it again, download Webupdater and update the firmware. I'd also recommend doing a full reset (press and hold the right corner while turning it on until it pops up a message) and letting it acquire signal for 15 to 30 minutes outside the first time. It may be voodoo, but I swear mine gets a fix faster now.

I'll definitely try those suggestions once I get the replacement!!! I really wish I had known all of this before I returned it in the 1st place - oh well.
