Problems with my Nuvi Acquiring Satellites

I have had my Nuvi 660 about a year now and love it. I have noticed some problems over the past 2 weeks. I am current on all firmware (wondering if that is the problem). On a recent road trip my Nuvi kept losing satellite connection, sometimes it would come back, sometimes you had to reset the unit. Eventually it stopped and we had to turn it off. Ever since that has happened there are some days in which I get reception and others in which I don’t (will just keep searching for satellites). Sometimes I will get reception at the end of my drive and others I will lose it half way thru. I live in Phoenix so the sky is always usually clear. Not sure if my machine is screwing up (I am sure the warranty is coming up soon) or if there is an issue with satellites or just this region. If anyone has had these issues please help. It is very intermittent and annoying. My next step is to call Garmin but you can be on hold with them for an awfully long time.
Thanks
-Jon

Call 'em

It seems like it would be smart to call Garmin and at least register your complaint while the unit is still in warranty. If things sort out, nothing lost but a little hold time. If they don't you should be covered.

Nuvi 650 (SW 4.30; GPS SW 3.00) , GPSmap 60CSx (SW 3.50; GPS SW 3.00), GPS III Plus

I had a Street Pilot 3

I had a Street Pilot 3 deluxe that was out of warranty and they fixed it free of charge. Just cost me shipping one way.

Well in talking with support

Well in talking with support they tried resetting it but that did not work (helped but I would still lose satellite). We decided to send it in for service. I have had two service issues with my Nuvi (one was my traffic receiver) and they have handled both great, fast, friendly and with no hassle. I am just a bit concerned to have problems with a 1 year old unit.
