Heard about Navigon?

I have noticed a few ads for Navigon GPS units the last few weeks. Lately they have stepped up their ads.

Their units work with the Clear Channel traffic service and most seem to include lifetime free traffic service. This is a new price point compared to Garmin and Magellan charging a subscription fee for traffic service.

Navigon is a German software company that provides GPS software both for their own branded units and for some others, notably Porche, Delphi, Pioneer, Sony, Dual, and Rand McNally. Sears had Delphi units for about $200 on Black Friday (I think).

BTW, google maps has free traffic available on cellphones. I tried it, it works, but clearly it's too slow for my cellphone processor and connection. But things are certainly looking up.

Anyone try Navigon? I am going to go have a look.
