FWIW, I haven't seen discussion of this *anywhere*, so I am posting it here.
I have successfully loaded a redlight camera POI file and the alarms do work.
Has anyone else done this on a Magellan unit?
Red Light File in Magellan
Yes. Loaded into a Crossover and it works fine. You can set the primary and secondary alarms for different distances and angles. Seems to work fine
Works on a plain 2200t also
I have it loaded on a 2200t without the Crossover upgrade. Was shocked to find at least 7 redlight cameras alarms on the 4 mile stretch of Woodhaven Boulevard in Queens, NYC.(Was able to visually verify only 4 so far).

Has anyone tried loading
Has anyone tried loading these on the Magellan Roadmate 760?
Loaded on both RM800 and RM860T

Loaded into both successfully into the RM800 and RM860T and worked fine. Setting both the primary and secondary alarms for different distances and angles also worked.
Garmin Nüvi 855 & 760, iPhone, Magellan RM860T
Same experience
Added to Magellan 800T and it work like a charm
3225
Was able to load it on to my 3225 finally!
Maestro 4050 & 4250
Loaded successfully on both Maestro 4050 & 4250, but 4050 ocassionaly froze with many custom POI loaded when navigating. 4250 is fine.
Magellan and redlight camera POI files
I just got the 3225 from Costco for $179 and was able to get the redlight cameras up in about 30 minutes. Thank you POI Factory!!!
Magellan 3225--how download red lite cameras ?
Hi:
Can someone walk me thru how to download this file onto my new 3225? I'm pretty computer savy, but totally new to GPS and POIs. Many thanks!
Magellan 3225
I got this one from costco a few weeks ago, and everyone here at POI factory helped me out!
Here is what I did:
1. Download POI (It's in .csv file)
2. Open the file you just download (.csv file) with your Magellan File Editor program.
3. It should take you to import wizard. Click under separator (COMMA) then next.
4. I believe the first coordinates should be longitude then latitude then name and then description. Click Finish.
5. You should see a map with all the blue dots. At this point click modify.
6. Enter Name - I called it Red Light Photo which it says (VOICE) on my 3225 when I come close. Change the image and MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE the DISTANCES in FEET. and CLICK OK
7. Click SAVE
8. Click that arrow to save it to your GPS.
Reset your GPS and in POI click ENHANCED and choose the RED LIGHT POI file.
Note I put mine on my SD card which was easier. I didn't have to hook my GPS up to the computer. Just saved it to my SD card.
Hope this helps!
Merry Christmas.
Thanks for info!
Thanks so much; I'll try it out and get back here with results! Happy Holidays, and thanks so much again for taking time to help out a POI novice (a SUPER POI novice)!
Loading Red Lite Camera POI's---Almost there!
Got pretty close, but after I reset my Magellan 3225, click "Enhanced", and look for "My POI", a screen pops up which says "MY POI files have not been loaded on the Magellan GPS", so all the choices like "Select a POI File", "Set Alarms", etc are all blocked. I think I'm a click or two away from having this but am stuck
Magellan and redlight camera POI files
I'm about to load the redlight cameras file into my Magellan Roadmate 2200T so I will let you know how it goes. I've alread sucessfully inported the csv file into the Magellan POI editor but not yet into the unit.

How to get 3225 to see your red light POI
If you load enhanced POI files onto a Magellan Maestro 3225 internal memory (not SD card), make sure you save them in [GPS DRIVE:]/USR/CPOI. They must be there for the system to recognize them. Otherwise it will tell you that "my POI files has not been loaded" or some similar message. This was not in the Magellan docs.
Do I have to reset the unit?

Thank you for your comments. It really helps. I did what you mentioned. Only thing that I didn't was rest the unit. Do I have to reset the unit to activate the enhanced POI or not. The help menu also mentioned that I have to save the file in "SPEEDTRAPS" folder. Is it correct? Where do i have to save the files? Please let me know.

Is this on a 3225?
If so, it should NOT be necessary to do a reset. The unit probably does a reboot the next time you turn it on after disconnecting from the USB cable......blue screen instead of going directly to the "safety" screen.
I believe a lot of the help file is left over from the first use of the POI Loader which was on an older model. Thus, a lot of the "help" is more confusing than helpful. A specific file name is not required. It should go in a CPOI folder if on the SD card or USR/CPOI if going into internal memory.
I was going to suggest you put your model number in your sig. but then I had to go back and do mine first!!!

Red Light Camera's
Thanks but it says "enforcement camera locations are reserved for users who are helping support the web site." Guess I can't get it.
Hi, first time poster.
Hi, first time poster. Appreciate the help and the discovery of this resource. You can join for a one time 5 dollar fee for a month, or for 20 dollars you can have a year-long membership...painless, use PayPal and then you can install it. I just did on my 4250 and it seems to work, although no cams in my area, but I do go to dallas frequently. Thanks for building this site, hope I can contribute.

Maestro 3200
I'm assuming based on the success reports for the similar 3225 that the red light POIs will work on my 3200, but just thought I'd check to see if anyone is using them on a 3200. If so, any troubles I should know about? I'm not 100% sure of all of the differences between the 3225 and 3200.
Thanks!
I think the only difference
I think the only difference would be the Text to speech. If I'm not mistaken.
3225 vs 3200
I think the internal memory sizes might also be different.
I am going to try this
I am going to try this tonight.

What is "Magellan File Editor program"?
It is "Magellan POI Editor".
It comes on the CD with your GPS, for the Maestro series at least.
It wasn't necessary to quote the WHOLE previous post just to ask that question.
