A Lot of Work

I do a lot of traveling for work and I put together a list of several cement plants and cement terminals that I travel to through out the year and I have uploaded the file to the GPS. But finding the latitude and longitude and typing the addresses for all locations takes a lot of time but well worth it.

I know I could have geocoded the file of 86 addresses which I have done, but the locations were not correct. This time I went to Google Earth and done everything the slow way and loaded the file to the GPS and saw everything was CORRECT!!!

Cement plants, a rock solid idea.

As odd as this idea sounds, I had thought about doing it also. I have very little to do with cement and materials, but go by enough plants, and have a tie with a cement person.

Research

This was a fun project to do - things were very slow this week at work. The joy to using Google Maps is the 6.0 mbps internet speed at work it works excellent at that speed.

The interesting thing was that I had a bunch of locations in the "favorites" location and sometime ago I updated it and that was the one risk - I lost them. Now I can now hook it up to the computer and reload, add or whatever to this special list.

I even thought of putting one together a list of my family members - Why?
