Buying A GPS From E-Bay

Does Anyone here ever bought a garmin from e-bay with some things missing will Garmin still give the CD & Unlock Code for the used Gps even if it was registered to a different Person that you are buying it from
Make sure the person calls
Make sure the person calls Garmin and un-registers it from their name BEFORE you buy it. Call Garmin yourself to confirm this, as well.

Don't.
You don't know where it's been...chances are, it will be locked, and you won't get an unlock code because the seller does not know what the code is...

Yeah, I personally wouldn't buy a GPSr or RD off of ebay, too many things could be screwed up.

Just remember that Garmin does not accept paypal as a valid receipt. Also, for any warranty work you will need the original purchase date and papers. If you do not have them, you may have problems even registering them on the site.
Also if buying a c550 make sure that you know if it is the avis version or escort version. I have not played with an escort yet but have been messing with the avis where2. It seems to be fully fuctional except for it is always in safe mode and the custom poi's lock the unit up when you select them. The do give proximity alerts though.
