poi alerts (select as destination)

I have been giving my c340 a good work out lately but noticed one thing that I need to get answer on.When the alert for my poi sounded and appeared on my map screen I thought I could just touch the alert and it would give me the option to select to go to that location.It didn't so based on that is the right approach to go back to your custom poi's and then select the location fom there which I know will work?Or am I doing something wrong and should be able to touch the alert on the screen and it is suppose to give a selection to go there?The poi's I used are from this web site.

No, the alerts simply alert

No, the alerts simply alert you to a POI that has an alert on it to let you know that you are near one.

You are right, you have to go to custom POIs and select one and then press "GO" before it routes you to that POI.

Thanks.I thought that may the case.It sure would be a nice addition to all the gps units to do it by just touching the alert on the map.Really don't think it would be that hard to design this into the unit.
