On the Nuvi 660 the trip timer does not start until after satellites are acquired and the unit is ready to navigate. But once that happens, is there any way to pause the timer? I have not found any way to do so.

Putting the antenna down will pause the timer on the nuvi350.

No antenna to flip on my nuvi
No antenna to flip on my nuvi, but the "Speedometer Screen" shows total time, stopped time, and travel time.

660 should have antenna
That square thing on the back of the unit that flips up and down is the antenna. Are you sure that you have the nuvi 660?

I'm Curious
why would pausing be important?
on the trip status page, is there not a "moving" time and "stopped" time as well as "total" time?

If you have a nuvi 660, you have a flip-up antenna. Check this link: http://gpsinformation.info/nuvi/660/660.html
