Splash Screens

I can't remember if we decided or not to start a "Splash Screen" area (like the sounds and icons). I think that would sorta cool.

Another Lost Feature?

what about Tom Toms, is this possible?

Yes it is, at least for older TomTom devices (ones that use the TomTom HOME application). See

Is this another feature the newer TTs have lost?

They did lose the capability for a while when the Microsoft lawsuit forced a change to the file system of their GPS units. However, after a much longer delay than most of us were happy with, they finally released a version of the "MyTomTom" utility last year that allows you to install a custom screen for start-up and a different (if desired) custom screen for shut-down.

With best wishes,

Splash Screen Change

This looks like something I will be doing, just to give me that in-dash Nav feel of my new TomTom.

So far I am impressed that there is a fair amount of customization that can be done to the new GPS units, compared to the older ones that I was using.
