Contributors of the week 2007-10-08

This week we are recognizing JGLabelle and bfk as our contributors of the week.

JGLabelle, You helped me out so much this week when you let me know about 3 files that had some corrections that needed to be taken care of. You have also been a huge help in the forums this week.

bfk, I find your posts to be intelligent and well thought out. I enjoy the things that you teach us.

Freedom isn't free...thank you veterans! Heard about the tests to detect PANCREATIC CANCER? There aren't any! In Memoriam: #77 NYPD-SCA/Seattle Mike/Joe S./Vinny D./RTC!

Thank You

Thank you very much for this honor. I am so passionate about GPSs (I bought my first GPS - a Garmin eTrex - in 2000) and everything surrounding them that I find it fun sharing my experiences with others.

Unfortunately, I won't have as much time to spend with this site for a while. As Snowbirds, we are heading for Florida (North Port in Sarasota County) Wednesday morning. The hotels we will stay at on the way down have already been added to my C530 Favorites. I AM READY!!!

I will still connect to the site once in a while as long as it doesn't interfere too much with my Winter Season Golf!!

Cheers

Wow!

Every day, and often, every couple of hours, I check in to see what's happening here at POI Factory.

Today, I log on to discover I'm being recognized as a contributor of the week!

I really have nothing to do with this honor. It's everyone involved with, and contributing to POI Factory who've made me feel as if I belong to a caring and unbiased community, where anyone can ask any question and state his or her ideas without worrying about personal attacks, embarrassing comments or ridicule.

It's the time people take out of their lives to make this site work, working together, adding content, responding to suggestions to make it better, or easier, or more effective.

That's what keeps me coming back, time and time again to this wonderful place and what drives me to want to be a part of it.

It's everyone who's ever introduced themselves to the community, taken the time to answer a question or voiced their opinions about this new and freeing technology, who've made POI Factory the most successful and user-friendly GPS related website in the world today, and I'm proud to have been selected for this honor.

Thank you so very much.

Holy cow! You're right... I just now realized I retired this year and never got the chance to make a speech. I would have, but being self employed, no one else was here.smile

No matter... I meant every word.

Doesn't matter if you were self employed or not...I talk to myself all the time and sometimes, I don't even listen to myself.

I used to talk to myself too... Even called myself names, trying to get myself fired... But I wouldn't listen, so I tried quitting but I wouldn't accept my resignation... Had to take early retirement.

Thanks to everyone who congratulated JGLabelle and me.
