I would like to mark selected posts as read. This would help skip threads didn't apply to me or my system. I am not able to figure out how to mark selected items as read so they will no longer appear in my list. Is this possible? I have seen JM's comments on a unread post page that has different selection buttons etc. I am lost as to where and how the features work. Would someone be willing to teach this first grader navigate the POI-Factory site.

On the unread posts screen, there's a "skip" link next to each topic.
If you click on "skip", it marks the topic as read and removes it from the screen.
Note: When you're logged in, "unread posts" appears as an option in the right column (under your user name).
