Is it me, or... (double names on map)

am I the only 360 Nuvi that has double names on the map? I view the map and there is one name/address over the other one...anybody else?

Would...

resetting it help? It has been that way since I first used it.It's not really a problem but if I could get rid of it, I'd be happy.

Same behavior nuvi 670

My nuvi 670 has done the same thing for custom POIs and Favorites locations since I received it. Resetting doesn't fix it. But since it doesn't seem hurt anything really, I just ignore it.... I wish I could tell you how to fix it...

My 350 does the same on my

My 350 does the same on my custom POI, but not on street names. it isn't that big of an issue for me therefore I really haven't taken the time to look into it. Sorry

Ditto on 350

It seems to happen when I have the same location in "My Favorites" and in a POI file. Makes sense, as the Nuvi is reading the location twice and doesn't necessarily know that they are duplicates.

I usually ignore it, or I might take it off from one of the files.

Yeah, that has happened to

Yeah, that has happened to me as well, but I have also have had one entry and the same thing happened.

I also meant to say that I have seen that if you view the map and then move it, it doesn't seem to refresh the name, and therefore, you get double names.

NP

If I understand the sceneario, you calculate a route and then view the destination on the map, seeing overlapping duplicate place names. If that's it, it's a feature, not a bug.

Think of it this way, when you enter a destination (manually or by using a POI, custom or otherwise), a temporary POI is created. When you look at the map, you see this temp POI displayed over the "permanent" POI you started with. At this point, you could delete the (custom) POI without changing your route: the temp POI is still anchoring the end-point.

So, the reason you're seeing double is because there really are two separate and distinct labels on the map.

Double Names

Some restaurants are listed twice, one under the other.
