She's a real person...Karen Jacobsen. She recently did an interview & performance on Hugh Thompson's AT&T Tech Channel Show.

I am the Aussie speaking voice on Garmin's Nuvi GPS system, so Hugh invited me on the show to talk about giving people directions all over the world, my music and my work with To Zambia With Love. The in-house band accompanied me on my song "So Fast" and a fun time was had by all.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
