Can someone explain to me what MapInstall is used for?

Hi,

I upgraded my Nuvi 350 with the 2008 maps. After finishing the installation, a new desktop shortcut was created named MapInstall. I opened the application up and installed the New York area.

I turned my Nuvi on and I don't know where to look for what I installed.

Can someone explain to me what this is suppose to do? Do I need to manually high light every area that I want to install?

Thanks!

MapInstall

I used it with my Nuvi 200 to install the Canadian maps to my SD card. That way, I now have those maps available to me as well.

I already have the Canadian maps

I think the Nuvi 350 already comes with the Canadian maps. Thtat's why I can't seem to tell the difference after installing.

Is the MapInstall suppose to give you more details on the map?

MapInstall

Is geared for the low-end nuvis with limited memory and can't handle all of North America at once - gives folks the ability to load Canada as needed, then reload US...and vice-versa of course...
