Set Loc

i have a c530. the "go" means calculate the route and set it to start. i have "show map and save" these mean give me a pic of waypoint on map and put it in favorites.
i would think "set loc" would be just saving the waypoint in favorites.

I also have the C 330.
I use the "SET LOC" when planning trips.
When I plan a trip and am looking at items in other areas, I turn off the GPS. (Not the unit, just the Sat link)
I then go to an area on my Unit(My Brothers in NC), and "SET LOC"
This basically tells the unit I'm at my brothers in NC, even tho I'm sitting in my living room in Florida.
Then I can do searches and local checks for the area in NC.

If you are going to go to Durham, NC. "SET LOC" on Durham (Airport ?), then do a search for "HOTELS", you will see the closest, and (Ding) you know who to call, and how far from the airport it is.

tracy is very good at c330 but much better a scuba diving with a gps lol

And here I thought you were going to comment on my great sound effects (Ding) (LOL)

Anyone have questions on SCUBA DIVING with a GPS, just ask. Might not be able to help much though, I can't seem to get past the Sparks, and the Blank screen that always pops up.
Also the fish never seem to stay still when we list them as a POI.

now u know its not a perfect world, keep working on it we will get the bug worked out. ops i mean fish. big red ones.
