MapSource and eTrex

Should I be able to manage my waypoints on my eTrex with MapSource as I can manage my Favorites on the nuvi?

I have not been able to find any info in the eTrex or MapSource documentation to indicate that this is possible.

Garmin does sell a program to do this, but I'd rather not buy another program to do what MapSource should be able to do.

Which eTrex?

I'm pretty sure that they are all compatible with MapSource. The regular eTrex B&W is and the Venture Cx, Legend Cx and Vista Cx are.

Which eTrex

I have the original plain yellow (non-WAAS) eTrex. I got it in 1999 or 2000 for hiking and flying.

Got it Working

The trick was to change the eTrex' interface from NMEA to Garmin.
