Is This Really an Update?

The Garmin web site for my nuvi 660 says the latest maps are "Map Update 2008 City Navigator® North America NT". Map info in my nuvi says "City Navigator North America NT v8". These look vaguely similar. Is the web site really an update to what my nuvi has loaded?
I'm sure this has been asked and answered 1000's of times already, so please accept my apologies for clogging the forum's arteries with duplicate posts...
Thanks to all.

Yes it is
The 2008 City Navigator is acutually v9, so yes it is an update. My 650 originally had the v8 and I updated to 2008. Depending on how old your 660 is you may be able to get a free update.
Purchased Just Prior to Father's Day '07 From Costco
Do you think I stand a chance?

.
Probably. The most common date that is bandied about is that you are eligible if you purchased your unit after May 1.
Yes
Do you think I stand a chance?
I also took the advantage of Costco's $499 father's day special. I received my free update a couple of weeks ago.
Garmin nüvi® 660, iPhone 8gb (Technology is not the solution. It's only a tool to help you achieve it.)
My Upgrade is Coming!
I posted the original question on Garmin's web site at about the same time as my original post in this thread. Today I received an email from Garmin, telling me that a no-charge upgrade order had been placed for me.
All I said in my email was: The web site says "xxxx" and the nuvi map info says "xxxy" - these are similar - is this an upgrade or???
Not bad. Thank you, Garmin!
