But the traffic, oh boy... took a drive today that normally would take me about 45 minutes and it took double that, and it was not even 3 in the afternoon. Oh well, got home safe and sound and that's what counts. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

woulda thunk, but yes, there is such a thing as too much ice hockey.
Son had hockey last Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
I have to give thanks in that my work allows me to be able to pick him up on Fridays, every Friday, September through March (essentially I have half days).
As much as we often feel our employers are using us to their profitability (they are), we do get something as well out of it. So I'm thankful.
I mean over the years, I've put in 60-80 hour weeks at times for the same pay (not every week or I would have quit long ago). They probably see it that way. Said it before, I've been on call since 1996, that is a huge mistake on my part!
