New version of Garmin Express 7.25.0.0 available 25 March 2025

Garmin Express v7.25.0 is available for PC today.

Immediately after doing my GE update all three of my devices show eligible for a time zone update.

This version includes the following changes:

Added the ability to install the basemap if it’s not currently installed on the device.

Added support for displaying semantic versioning.

Fixed an issue on the dashboard not displaying the bubble for number of updates available.

Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

Just updated but why does my version now say 7.25.0+a13e85b4 instead of 7.25.0.0?

Garmin Express 7.25.0.0

Just updated Garmin Express on my mac.

Checked the release notes. Here's what has been fixed:

- Added the ability to install the basemap if it’s not currently installed on the device.
- Added support for displaying semantic versioning.
- Fixed an issue in Manage Maps displaying an incorrect number of maps installed.
- Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

Whoops. Sorry, John. I read the last reply (Mac update) and somehow skipped your original post with the Windows update, so I added it again. Bad on me.

I also have the odd version number. My guess is a slight glitch on Garmin's side and when the next version comes out, it'll be one of the "Other minor bug fixes and improvements" we are so accustomed to reading. cool

I noticed this with the unit "Device Software" version numbering which now displays an additional ".0"

What displayed in the past as:

Version: 2.90

now displays as:

Version: 2.90.0
