Garmin 1390T System JCV File

I have a 1390T that had the 2025.20 map and large JCV files installed on a microSD card. I installed the new map 2026.10 today and downloaded the large JCV files posted by HarryAR yesterday. I went into the GPS System>JVC folder to rename the small file but there was no file there and the folder was empty. Anyone else notice this happening? Every other time on a new map there is always a small jvc file there.

Missing JCV file

Yes, mine did exactly the same as yours. I copied the large JCV files there anyway but have yet to see if they'll work. I suspect they will.

Missing JCV file.

Did you look on the SD card in folder \Garmin\JCV? It is possible that Garmin Express installed the small file there.

Yes, I checked the microSD card and no small JCV there. Only the 2025.20 large JCV files I placed here.

I'm willing to place odds that your small JCV file is from 2024.20. Though why anyone would want that puny JCV file for a 1100 - 1400 series device is anyone's guess.

What is the filename of the small JCV file you have?

As for your device, do you have a 1390T, or 1390LMT? There is a significant difference between the two.

Small JCV File

Your right Strephon_Alkhalikoi. After checking large and small jcv files in system file I found that was the jcv files from 2025.20. I don't know why it left my old jcv files in system file after completing the update to 2026.10 And I have a 1390LMT
