Perhaps you can post on a new book you're reading, a new hobby you're taking up or about random finds as you finally get around to cleaning out the..., or your most recent adventure?

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

Please keep comments polite.

Garmin DS55 with Traffic

Especially for all the Canadian Members. & American Friends

For all of you that enjoy a good mystery book, I can heartily recommend my favourite writer, Louise Penny. I've never found another writer that develops the characters and the plots with such realism & detail.

You might have to work a bit at the beginning, because the first 50-100 pages develops characters and plot. Once you get past this stage, you'll have trouble putting the book down.

It's best to start with the first book, "Still Life" from 2005 and continue in sequence.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

went to

the Franklin Institute and actually parked in a garage for $9. There are some advantages to living in a lower cost of living city. When we think about it, it's a win-win. Garage is unmanned and able to handle entrance and exit thanks to technology. Spaces that would otherwise remain empty, collect $9 instead of $0.

My wife was reading this series (Chief Inspector Gamache/Three Pines) and recommended it to me so I read it as well. They made a one season TV show based on the series. It was "okay" but not great and kind of mashed several books together.

The characters in the books were kind of "odd" in that they all seemed to have a particular trait that "identified" them and was a bit "overblown". (I'm not finding the word I'm looking for. Poop.) We both enjoyed the books but they weren't very "realistic". The idea that pretty much nobody even knew of the existence of Three Pines was a bit mind boggling since the town obviously received delivery of supplies for the store and restaurant.

Back from Montana.

Short trip this week

Short trip this week.

Need my DS75 for traffic. Today, at MM 209.4 West bound, there was a 6 mile backup at one point. Started around 3 P.M. and lasted over 1 hr.

Been a lot of accidents between Williamsburg & Richmond lately. They're widening I-64, but they are 20 years late.
