Waffle houses

I don't have a Nuvi, I have a Zumo. But I do have the City Navigator North America NT 2008 maps, which I think are the same. I can't say that every Waffle House is included, but a quick check shows the 52 closest to my house. (Within 12.6 miles).

Your results may vary. I only live about 8 miles from their corporate HQ, and so they are really thick around here. I did a couple of other searches in the South, and found 52 around Chattanooga, TN, but they ranged out to 78 miles. Charlotte, NC, had 52 within 70 miles.

Sadly for you, Fresno, CA came up short. GPS only shows 24 locations within 600 miles of Fresno. Nearest one is in L.A. I also tried POI Harvester, and online I found only 16 within 500 miles of Fresno. You are going to have to work at it if you want to have some hashbrowns "scattered, smothered, chunked, etc", or some world famous "Berts Chili".

I am working on a Waffle House Atlanta POI file. So far I have 281 locations in the greater Atlanta area.

We are going to be in the South for a couple weeks in September and was hoping we could find a couple. Its almost un-American to be in the south and not visit a Waffle house.

Uggghhh, I can't stand waffle houses, unless I am tried and drunk...lol.

For a challange, try visiting the south and NOT seeing a Waffle House. Last one to do that was named Helen Keller!
