Express 7.18.0.0 is being offered (reportedly withdrawn)

offered sometime in the last few hours. On my update, the setting "Always keep Gamin Express running in the background" was not enabled, and remained disabled after the update.
EDITED: There are apparently some compatibility issues with Garmin Express 7.18.0.0 running with Windows 7 so you are advised not to update if that is your O/S. In addition, as of early 08/24 Eastern Daylight time there is also one individual running Windows 10 Home having issues.
The release notes read:
Resolved an issue with USB sticks and SD cards potentially not being detected.
Resolved a crash that could occur when accessing the Removable Storage location under Manage Maps.
Resolved a server error that could occur when attempting to add a device that requires signing into Garmin Connect.
Implemented string translations that were missing.
When a user disables Garmin Express from always running in the background within the Settings, Garmin Express will also be removed from the Startup tab for Windows.
Resolved additional crashes.
Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

Just downloaded and went to open it and a notice, Garmin quit unexpectedly.Now when i try to open Express it opens then pop up appears click close and Express disappears.Popup asks to send report ,close or reopen to no avail.

Try this...

In the search field type in Task Manager
Select "Run as administrator".
Select the Startup tab
Look for anything related to Garmin; right click on what you find, then select Disable.
Close out of Task Manager, reboot and retest Garmin Express.

After every update, I've always had to go into the settings and uncheck "Always keep Gamin Express running in the background." This was the first time I didn't have to uncheck it.

I believe that Garmin
I believe that Garmin Express will still run unattended and check for updates at least once daily should the PC be used. I had observed some time back that something ran in the mornings when I fired up my PC. Investigation indicated it was Garmin Express and it was triggered by an event in Task Scheduler. I disabled it at that time.
After the update to 7.18.0.0 I again found the task enabled. Details are:
Task Scheduler (Local) GarminUpdaterTask has been reenabled. This task runs every day at 2:00 AM and "Keeps your Garmin Software up to date". It appears to run ExpressSelfUpdater.exe which is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\Express SelfUpdater.

Supposedly GE version 7.18.0.0 was removed from Garmin's direct download website and replaced with the previous 7.17.3.0.0.

I updated GE to 7.18.0.0 on Windows 10 and have not had any problems with it.
