Nuvi Traffic info

My Nuvi 1490 picks up the INRIX(UK) fm signal, but the subscription list still insists that Trafficmaster is the provider, so i don't get any information. I can see from garmin's site that the traffic list should have been updated, but it hasn't been. Is there any way of forcing the list to do so?
The garmin site has a page for downloading the file, but the file isn't there.

Nuvi Traffic

Doesn't help. The subscription list insists that the only provider is TrafficMast UK, which doesn't exist any more. So while the FM signal from INRIS is picked up, becuase it isn't subscribed to in the software, it won't connect to it. The list in the link above is the updates one, but I can't work out how to load it into the Garmin.

Have you tried these people? https://www.teletracnavman.co.uk/support/customer-resource/t...

I do note the spelling is TrafficMaster, not TrafficMast as you indicate.

Trafficmaster

No, Trafficmaster no longer supply a fm signal. That now comes from Inrix but I can't add this to the Garmin subscription list, even though the unit finds the fm signal.

Check https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=44

It appears from the content at https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4427... that there is some form of a “FM Traffic Database”. Knowing this might be of help. Note that the link is old, so one might expect there might be some database later than the 4.40 that is discussed

Other content that may prove helpful is at https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mac-windows-software.... It addresses a file TrafficProvider.xml which needed updating for the OP of that thread.

Of course if the latest and greatest doesn’t have a useable provider file, the best you can likey do is contact Garmin Support.
