going to try to teach guitar

To my 9 y.o.

He knows a lot of tunes and surprises me, so why not?

I think this is not a popular thing for kids his age and likely many think it's not a worthwhile way to spend one's time in 2023 (why learn an instrument when an iPad sounds better, or World of Warcraft has a new module coming out).

But let's give it a shot. It's amazing how much $50 can buy on amazon in this arena--the instrument, gig bag, tuner, extra strings, etc.

If it doesn't work out, $50 is not the end of the world. Plus time spent with a child is well spent.

I am out of touch though, there are grown men ages 35-50 in my office who trade pokemon cards. I'm like that guy in the episode of Kick the Can where he's left behind lol

Gotta

Ya just gotta
he'll find that girls love musicians
there are more girls 'at bandcamp'

I wish to draw attention to the Isenbeck beer ad
all said very tongue in cheek
