Should we have special icon badge for 5, 10, 15, 20 year members

Makes Sense

The five year milestones have badges even at my job when you log into the corporate websites. Why not unless it would take too much time to back track through all the profiles.

I think that's a good idea

I think that's a good idea having icon badges.

Criteria?

There would have to be some type of criteria for making the award ... activity, logins, etc. It seems to me that it would require a lot of tracking of member activity to do it fairly. In my opinion, not worth the effort.

Do I get a badge if ...

I never posted anything but log in frequently?

Joined a long time ago but haven't logged in for 10 years?

Was inactive for many years, but recently came back?

Was active in the past, but am now deceased (and how would you know)?

etc. etc. etc.

They give out stars in kindergarten. I hope we've evolved from that at this point.

On a different forum there's post count and thanks values next to each person's screen name in a post. Childish.

When you are dead, you don’t know that you are dead. It is only difficult for the others. It is the same when you are stupid.

i'm sure that

Angela and Johnathan have enough on their plate already without creating more work for them.
You need to remember that they are running this board on a volunteer basis!

Not only yes, but hell yes. I just hope I'm still alive five years from now to celebrate 20 years.

Perhaps..

We should be sent some anniversary cake each year so we can celebrate how long we've been here?

Short answer! Nope!

It already shows how long you have been here under your name. So, I don’t think special icons are needed.

The information is already available. No badge or icon is needed.

Don't think so

I agree with many of the comments already. We already have the recognition. No additional badges are necessary.

No Need

No need for badges

Sounds good to me

Again, not only yes but hell yes. A nice white layer cake with a layer of strawberries between the two cake layers sounds about right.

badges of recognition for longevity for members

I am approaching 12 and think its silly to ask for a longevity.Reward or medal

Use the KISS Principle

No need to complicate things. Keep it simple.

To hell with badges

I want reparations for being here!

$5 million for every character I've ever typed and another $20 million for every time I've thought about replying!
