My father has a tom tom 510. I used it the other week and compared it to my garmin. My garmin had good points and so did the tom tom.

One VERY nice thing is that the tom tom has a qwerty keyboard and recalculates much faster then my garmin did.

The 510 wasn't as easy to navigate through all the menus as the garmin, it has a lot of features though.

I was very pleased when I discovered the 7500 has a qwerty keyboard. I don't know why every gps does not have this option. It is a great feature. For some reason it isn't even mentioned in the promotional literature. Another thing I've noticed is that the reception of the 7500 is far superior to my 2650. It has many more user adjustable features too.
