Keeping The Windmill Alive – November 2022

Perhaps you can post on a new book you're reading, a new hobby you're taking up or about random finds as you finally get around to cleaning out the..., or your most recent adventure?

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

Please keep comments polite.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Finally got to use my DS 76 for a trip

Finally got to use my DS 76 for a trip.

We went to Green Front furniture in Farmville, VA.

Garmin took us on a convoluted trip there. I did not come back that way though. Once we got back near I-95 on US 460, I told Garmin to "Go Home" and we went the best way - in my opinion,

If you are within driving distance, Green Front in Farmville is an experience! 900,000 sq. feet! Yes, that's Nine Hundred thousand square feet of furniture, lamps, rugs, etc. And they deliver as well (within a certain range). They are also in Northern VA & North Carolina (but nowhere near the size of Farmville).
See: https://www.greenfront.com/locations/green-front-farmville/

You could be there all day and not see it all. We bought 2 chairs and plan to go back to get a sectional sofa.

FYI: I am no way affiliated with Green Front. A friend told us about it when we bought this house 26 years ago and we bought some furniture there then. They have inexpensive and expensive items.

I don't want to start turning on the heat, but it is time. Supposed to be below freezing now. Definitely feeling it.

Baseball practices are back!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Making a classic apple pie for the festivities. Garmin gave a flawless performance on my 7 state road trip.

Do not try to use your GPS

Do not try to use your GPS around DC. In fact, don't even go there. There is so much construction, the GPS has no clue. You also cannot read any signs, if they were there, fast enough to figure out where you need to go before you are lost. It will then take you 1 hour to make the correction, if you are lucky.

Added a memory card

I finally had to add a memory card to accomodate this latest map update. 32g is the smallest they have now at Best Buy. My 2595 is still going strong and it has to be over 10 years old now.

wasn't able to update on older nuvi and want to keep the "lifetime updates" active. that's probably for naught since i don't use it as waze is much better in car.

people

so I fininshed repairing the tenant damage today
took out the tools and locked the door, 700lb of tools, not really sure how it got that far, I guess I should take them out when I finish each job
two 30foot by 8 foot by 8foot skip bins
7 tons of wooden pallets
about 40 tyres

got the only trailer load of my waste to dump tomorrow

took months to get hem out
months to repair the damage
8 windows, 9 doors, 2200 feet of gyprock, stairs, bannisters, balusters, locks, fridge stove, furnace, shot hole in the roof

and all the friends say I'm the bad guy, because it isn't his fault he got hooked on drugs

I hate people

Sorry to hear that. Condolences.

we went

to a Farmer's Market if you will. They had pics of Ernest Borgnine on the wall, and not sure what the connection was. Got totally ripped off buying dinner, rare miss for us. One of those $50 later and you're starving and need to get something to eat on the way home lol

The portion was so small my 8 y.o. wolfed down a $15 sandwich and could easily have eaten a second one.

keep on spinning

for another week

Short Ride

Went for a short ride around Yeehaw Junction, Vero Beach, and then back home.
