DriveSmart 86 - white 'backlights'

I did the most recent software update for my Drivesmart 86. Now I have (2) white oblong 'backlights' coming from the back of the screen at both bottom corners. Not bright enough that I can't read the screen, but still something I haven't seen before and wanted to make sure that I don't have a problem with the 86 going bad.

Does it look like the battery could be swelling? Maybe Garmin can help especially if it's still under warranty.
