Keeping The Windmill Alive – August, 2022

Perhaps you can post on a new book you're reading, a new hobby you're taking up or about random finds as you finally get around to cleaning out the..., or your most recent adventure?

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

Please keep comments polite.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Our weekly doctor

Nothing but our weekly 2 to 4 days doctor trips.
Also, going to Walmart Pickup and will have to run in with KN95 on to get Ice Cream because all Bluebell lets them put on line is vanilla and butter pecan. I need my chocolate. I have been running in to Walmart and Albertson for quick trips every two weeks or so for stuff they will not put on pickup. Don't like to spend anytime in there with all the people without mask. I still have to wear mine to protect my husband as his immune system is extremally low. After almost three years of not going into places I get apprehensive when I do go inside.

I am getting so I don't know if I can ever go around people without me wearing a mask. Not sure if I can ever go inside a place to eat.

We usually bring our food home if we are close. If we are too far we find a parking lot with a tree and eat in the car.

I made us a bag to carry in the car that consist of napkins, catsup, extra straws and 2 plastic tubs. The tubs are for storing food about 2 inches deep and 12 inches long. These are our eating trays and when we are through we just put the covers on them and bring them home and throw away the trash and wash and put back in my bag and in the car. It is a lot easier eating in the car with these than with the food on our laps. I thought of these when we were going to Houston for his treatment as in the car was the only place we had to eat in-between appointments. It was too hard to go back to the hotel to eat as there wasn't much time in-between each treatment and test.

Hopefully some day we can go without a mask but it doesn't look like it is in our immediate future

Watching paint dry

Actually, I'm watching a local government TV program where property owners are called in front of a Code Enforcement Board because a) they did work without a permit b) their property is in disrepair or c) they are violating a zoning or other ordinance regarding the allowable use of the property. It is almost as exciting as watching paint dry - unless of course you are one of the owners who is there!

going to see Mickey

Just scheduled a trip to Disney World. Any new activities I should see? Haven't been there for 5 years. Thanks.
