I saw a note on the web that Apple was fixing a zero-day security bug with the iOS 15.4.1 release, so I just downloaded and installed it on my iPhone 8+.
The process went smoothly and without problems. I haven't had it long enough to be certain that it has not introduced any new problems, but I figure that this gamble is worth it in return for fixing the security issue.
