what's the worst inflation you've seen?

At work, I've seen 100% price increase on a subscription based software, but generally price increases of 5% across the board, which is not good, but tolerable.

I know there are many examples now.

But I was on amazon and came across the Noco battery terminal felt protectors that I paid 97 cents for last year. Amazon is selling them now for $9.89? lol

Will they ever come back to < $1?

a couple

things happened this week.

I went into my annual review thinking I should get 8% or a little more....NOPE!!!! lol

I am not lying--one exec said 7% was a possibility due to the inflation and the fact that the co. had its best year in its history.

I have no idea where that number came from, but it was spoken out loud. Maybe it was the rumor throughout a few months ago.

but I googled and 3.4% is the average raise for 2022--that's pathetic.

We were given more than that so I should not bite my nose to spite my face. The bonus was the largest ever, which makes sense, the co. had its best year ever.

So all in all, back to $1.99/lb pork chops and grabbing 4 when the limit is 4, for $1.99/12 oz bacon! Have to shop wisely.

I still think avoiding a car or house purchase is a must. Can't avoid energy and food. There's still value out there, really. Countless examples. A large 3 topping Domino's is $7.99. When I delivered in college a small would have been $8.75. What happened to CPI there? It's just that many of us would probably say but I've graduated from Domino's, it's not very good lol
